What is Fitzgerald’s Home Furnishings delivery radius?

Resource Furniture New York will deliver and install within a 50 mile radius of Frederick, MD. If you (like many of our clients) are located outside of this radius, we can and do arrange for delivery in many other cities and towns throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia at an additional cost.

How long does it take to receive an order once it is placed?

Because most of our pieces are highly customizable and made to order, the lead time can range from 4-12 weeks depending on the manufacturer and the time of year. The great news is that we have a constantly replenished program with our most popular products. Available ‘off-the-floor’ items are available immediately. It is always helpful to tell us when you need your furniture. If you are not familiar with ordering custom furniture, we can certainly give you the best guidance as to when to place your order. An order is officially placed when a 50% deposit is paid.

What are the Fitzgerald Home Furnishings prices and why are ‘starting at’ prices posted?

Everything we sell is highly customizable. We offer endless fabric and finish combinations to choose from on most items, all of which affect the price. We are always happy to provide specific pricing information, which you can receive by either calling our showroom directly to speak with an expert sales associate, or by requesting a quote through ‘contact us’ link on this web site.

What is fabric pilling and how do I remove it?

Characteristic of many fabrics, “pilling” is caused by excess fiber coming off the surface of the fabric. This excess fiber forms small balls or “pills” on the top layer of the fabric. Pilling will continue until the excess fiber has been released. The best treatment is to shave the fabric with a battery-operated furniture or sweater shaver to remove the pills and restore the look of the fabric surface. A normal quality of many fabrics, pilling is not considered a defect and is not warranted.

What if my order is late?

Please don’t worry. We’ll let you know straight away if your estimated delivery time has changed. Of course, some delays are beyond our control but if this happens we will make every effort to keep you informed. Do you offer a trial period on beds & mattresses?

Unfortunately we do not offer a trial period on our beds and mattresses.

What if my furniture does not fit?

Nobody wants the unfortunate situation where the furniture you’ve ordered does not fit, where it’s too big for the room or won’t fit through your home’s doorways or entrances. So, when you order your furniture, it’s important to check that it will fit into your house and your room. Please measure all doors, stairways and the chosen space as carefully as possible. Fitzgerald Home Furnishings cannot accept responsibility for furniture not fitting, as ultimately it is up to you, the customer, to measure.
